Brigitte Lacombe

This Frenchwoman does it all, literally. Travel, advertising, portraits, celebrities, fashion. But in these competitive days, that's the requirement. Lacombe got her start in the dark room of Elle's Paris office and today does high-end photography for high-fashion brands, behind-the-scenes movie sets and celebrity portraits. But these are not the photos that I find the most alluring. I love her travel work. Travel photography is the ultimate in environmental portraiture, and it takes real fearlessness and confidence in your mission to get that one image that explains your intended message as a photographer - a  life collector.
