A Sistine Reference


















In April I visited Vatican City and subsequently, the Sistine Chapel. Hopefully everyone knows Michelangelo's famous depiction of the act of God giving life to Adam from their almost touching fingers. I craned my neck back as far as it would go with hundreds of others from around the world who were seeing this sight for the first, fifth, or maybe the last time. Long story short, I'm still pinching myself.

Yesterday while working on a internship project, a friend showed up and was leaning on Judge Baylor talking to me. Their hand was resting near the statue's hand - and the Sistine moment of creation appeared in my mind. And then in my camera through some arranging...

  1. Technically, the light is not ideal and I would like to see more of the right hand. But, I like that you are beginning to see on a personal level. I understand the message you are conveying and encourage you to continue to shoot with a purpose.
